Performance Optimization: 40% Latency Reduction in Core API Paths
Spent the day benchmarking and optimizing our hot paths. Identified a slow N+1 query and replaced it with a batched approach. End-to-end latency dropped 40%.

What changed
Ran flamegraphs and query logs against staging, then fixed the top three bottlenecks. The biggest win was replacing a nested loop of DB calls with a single batched query using our existing DAL. Also tuned Redis connection pooling and bumped the worker count to match CPU cores. All changes are behind feature flags so we can monitor before full rollout.
